Her story
Meet Brooke
A voice. A story. A feeling.
Brooke Dawn is an independent singer-songwriter from Brighton, writing folk-pop songs that start with something real and stay close to it.
Her songs are built around the voice and the lyric — small, personal moments given room to breathe.

01
A musical family
Brooke grew up in a musical family, so singing came early. Music was always in the house — first something to listen to, then something to learn from, and eventually something to write for herself.
02
Songwriting & influences
She counts Jeff Buckley and Eva Cassidy among her influences — singers who could carry a whole song on feeling alone. Her own writing works the same way: plain-spoken lyrics, melodies that leave space, and arrangements that never get in the way of the story.
03
The releases
Her debut single, “Brighter Than the Sun”, arrived in 2025, followed by “Moving On” and “April Showers” in 2026. Each one is written, released and shared independently.
04
On stage
As a finalist in the Future Makers songwriting competition, Brooke performed her music at the Royal Albert Hall. Closer to home, she has played Brighton stages including Brighton Dome, The Folklore Rooms and The Hope & Ruin, and her music has been played on BBC Radio Sussex.

Honest lyrics. Heartfelt melodies.
